Communauto: An Inspiring Evolution and Promising Announcements

Since the beginning of the year, our parent company has shared exciting news showcasing the journey and growth of its shared mobility services. We are proud to be part of the Communauto family, a company that continues to reinvent itself to offer ever more sustainable and accessible transportation solutions.

Expansions and New Services

Communauto continues to strengthen its commitment to the environment and local communities. Among recent local initiatives, a pilot project in Terrebonne now offers three hybrid cars at key locations. Mayor Mathieu Traversy expressed his pride in this initiative, which aligns with the city’s commitments. Similar pilot projects have been launched in Dorval and Boisbriand to promote public transit and provide ecological alternatives to citizens.

In addition to these projects, Communauto will add more than 1,100 new cars in Montreal in 2024, including 900 station-based and 200 in FLEX mode, to meet rising demand and promote more sustainable mobility. These initiatives include integrating 85 electric cars and 70 minivans, diversifying the vehicle options to provide users with more choice and comfort.

A Promising Future

These announcements mark the beginning of a new and promising era for carsharing. We are proud of these advancements and remain committed to promoting sustainable mobility, innovation, and community values. Astus plays a key role by providing an advanced telemetry system integrated into Communauto’s vehicles, offering full visibility into vehicle usage while enhancing the user experience.

Together, let’s move toward a future where mobility is more accessible and sustainable. Congratulations to Communauto on these achievements and for the bright future ahead!
